Projected snow totals Monday into Tuesday

With temperatures into the 40s across much of the area, we’ll see rain during the early evening hours across the Twin Cities metro, before changing over to snow later tonight as temps drop to around freezing.

Here is graphic I put together of snow totals for today into Tuesday.  One to two inches of slushy snow will be common across much of the eastern half of the state, including the Twin Cities.  Higher totals will be found across west central, northwestern, and southeastern Minnesota.  Up to four inches of snow will be possible in these areas.

Commuting tonight will be a challenge with any snow, so be sure to give yourself extra time.
